Five players on the Missouri State Bear football team were named to the Missouri Valley Conference's Preseason All-Conference team.
Three of the Bears' selections are offensive linemen. Robert Booker, a junior from Ozark is the first name on the list of offensive linemen chosen for the team by the conference's coaches. Zack Cooley, a Lebanon native and senior for Missouri State, joins Booker on the list. Cooley's classmate Richard Galbierz from Fenton is the third Bear offensive lineman to make the cut.
The other two players who represent Missouri State on this year's team are Andrew Beisel, a senior linebacker who also hails from Fenton and Caleb Schaffitzel, a senior Fair Grove native who plays defensive back. The Bears begin their season at Northwestern State on Thursday, Aug. 28.
