The Lake Ozark Junior Golf Association named its winners

On Monday, July 28 many of the participants in the Lake Ozark Junior Golf Association and their families gathered at Osage National Golf Course in Lake Ozark to finish the season with a celebration recognizing the best of the field.
The ceremony culminated the two-day championship event at the golf course.
The first participants recognized were the season-long point winners for each age group.
Gunnar Schuster of Osage Beach was the point winner for the 9 & Under co-ed division. Jefferson City’s Jake Closser won the boys’ 10-and-11-year-old division.
Kellen Welsh of Olathe was tops in the boys’ 12-and-13-year-old group. Columbia’s Ross Steelman was unable to attend the ceremony but had the top point finish in the boys’ 14-and-15-year-old division.
Josh Parker of Dixon won the boys’ 16-18-year-old division. The girls’ nine-hole division was won by Osage Beach’s Jennah Schell and the honor for the 18-hole division was taken by Mikala Jungmeyer of Russellville.
The next people honored were the top four finishers in each age group during the two-day competition at Osage National.
The 2014 season has concluded for LOJGA, but saw a record turnout for the association. With continued support from the community and increased interest, 2015 should be an even bigger success.
