The Lake of the Ozark Licking volleyball camp on Thursday and Friday, July 24-25, was not only a great chance for area prep teams to prepare for the season, but a successful endeavor for all four lake area schools as well.
Morgan County High School won its bracket, defeating Christian of O'Fallon 25-19, 25-21. Besides the team victory, the Tigers also had sophomore Tessa Edgar named to the All-Camp Team to boast from the two-day affair held on the campuses of Eldon and Osage Beach's schools.
Grace Baucom of Eldon High School and Lyza Jamerson of School of the Osage were also named to the All-Camp team. The Licking summer volleyball camps are now concluded with the prep season mere weeks away.
The Lakers begin their season at home against Bolivar on Monday, August 25. The next night Camdenton will host Eldon to start the Mustangs' 2014 campaign. That same night the Indians serve up their season-opener at home against Stover. Morgan County has its first chance to notch a win at Skyline on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
