The School of the Osage Athletic Department is proud to announce the hiring of Drew Phillips as Assistant/JV Boys Basketball coach and Isaiah Rhine as Assistant/Freshman Boys Basketball coach.
Coach Phillips is a long-time School of the Osage coach of various sports and most recently has been the middle school counselor for the past 18 years. Along with being the assistant boys’ basketball coach, Coach Phillips is the the head track coach and head 7th grade football coach for Osage.
This will be Caoch Phillips, second stint at coaching boys basketball for School of the Osage. Coach Phillips was an assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach from 1982-1984 and was the head boys basketball coach at School fo the Osage from 1984– 1988. Along with coaching basketball, Coach Phillips has also coached both football and track at various levels during his tenure.
Coach Rhine is new to School of the Osage and taught one year previously at Morgan County R-2 schools in Versailles. Along with being the assistant boys’ basketball coach, Coach Rhine will be a Speech Language Pathologist at
Coach Rhine graduated from Missouri State Universtiy where he was a four year letterman in basketball from 2008-2012 and team captain for one year. Coach Rhine was selected to the Missouri Valley Academic All-Conference team in 2011-12 and was the Guy Thompson Award winner presented to the MSU male basketball player for academic achievement, leadership, and sportsmanship. Coach Rhine’s wife, Megan, is currently an elementary teacher in the Eldon School District.
