  • Miller County Fair kicks in to gear next week

  • The Miller County Fair will be held at the fairgrounds in Eldon July 20-26 with activities spanning the week. Enjoy a new carnival this year, livestock shows, contests, a parade and other fun activities.

  • The Miller County Fair will be held at the fairgrounds in Eldon July 20-26 with activities spanning the week. Enjoy a new carnival this year, livestock shows, contests, a parade and other fun activities.
    Make sure to take advantage the discounted admission passes being offered through noon July 22. Pick up an armband for $15 (regularly $20) for a four-day pass at any of these locations: Bank of Iberia, Bank of St. Elizabeth, Central Bank of Eldon and Tuscumbia, Citizen's Bank of Eldon and Paul's Supermarket.
    The carnival is Tuesday-Saturday. The armbands give you access to unlimited rides from 6-10:30 p.m. Admission into the fair is $10 for 13 and older, $2 for 6 to 12 years, and free for under the age of 5.
     
     
    Schedule
    Sunday, July 20
    1-3 p.m. Check-in 4H and FFA projects.
    1-5 p.m. Little Mr. and Miss contestant interviews by appointment.
     
    Monday, July 21
    7 p.m. Talent and sportswear competition at EHS Fine Arts Building for Miss Miller County Teen Scholarship Pageant. Admission is $5 for 13 and older, $1 for 6-12 years and free for 5 and under.
     
    Tuesday, July 22
    5 p.m. Bottle calf show, sheep and goat shows.
    6:15 p.m. Fair parade starts at South Elementary School.
    7 p.m. Compact Figure 8 Race. Intermission performance by Helen Russel & Company.
     
    Wednesday, July 23
    6:30 p.m. Hog show.
    6:30 p.m. Lawn and garden tractor pull.
    8:30 p.m. Faith and Family Night concert with Eldon First Assembly of God.
    7 p.m. Little Mr. and Miss and Prince/Princess Pageant at EHS Fine Arts Auditorium.
    8 p.m Queen Pageant evening gown competition and coronation ceremony at EHS Fine Arts Auditorium.
     
    Thursday, July 24
    10 a.m. Youth Livestock judging contest.
    6 p.m. Greased pig races in the livestock arena.
    6:30 p.m. Beef show.
    7 p.m. Mid-Missouri Truck and Tractor Pullers Association Truck and Tractor Pull.
     
    Friday, July 25
    9 a.m. Rabbit show.
    11 a.m. Poultry show.
    5:30 p.m. Buyers' dinner.
    7 p.m. Stock Truck and Tractor Pull.
    7 p.m. Livestock auction.
    7 p.m. Exhibits released.
     
    Saturday, July 26
    7 p.m. Demolition Derby.
