A Marshall, Mo. woman sustained serious injuries in a truck crash in northern Morgan County Monday morning.

Rebecca Douglass, 50, was a passenger in a 1987 Dodge driven by Charles Brashears, 74, also of Marshall, Mo. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Brashears failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 50 at Highway 135. The truck skidded across the intersection and traveled off the north side of the roadway, striking a ditch.

Douglass was life flighted by Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. for treatment. Brashears and a passenger, Rebecca Brashears, sustained minor injuries.

According to the report, no one in the truck was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
