At a recent meeting of the Board of Directors, Brad Badgley was elected Board Chairman of Bank Star One. His election follows the retirement as Chairman of Dr. Donald B. Ruthenberg, who served in that capacity since 2004. Ruthenberg will continue as Chairman Emeritus on the board.
“Brad brings a wealth of banking experience to the position of Chairman having served on the Bank Star One Board since 1998,” said Joseph C. Stewart III, president and CEO of the bank.
According to Badgley, he plans to continue the course set for the bank by Ruthenberg with a “steadfast commitment to the growth and success of our customers.”

Badgley also served as a director of Fairview Heights (Illinois) Community Bank in the 1980’s and Magna Trust Company until 1997.
While a lifelong resident of Belleville, Ill., Badgley’s family has a lifelong attachment to the Lake Ozark area.
