  • All kids 4 and up are welcome to bring their Bikes for a safety check and to learn bike safety skills at the 2nd annual Bicycle Rodeo & Bike Safety Rodeo. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 26 at the Columbia College parking lot at 900 College Blvd. in Osage Beach.
Participants will receive certificates for completing the seven station safety course.
Learn how to ride safely. If you don’t have a bicycle, some will be provided to use at the event.
There will be a drawing for two brand new 20” bikes (1 girls & 1 boys). Door prizes and refreshments will be provided
The event is sponsored by Ozark Coast Kiwanis   Boy Scouts, Osage Beach Police Departtment & Fire Protection District, Columbia College, HyVee, Walmart, Faithbridge Church, Advantage Metals and Kohl’s.
2nd Chance Bikes, is a program run by Ozark Coast Kiwanis, http://www.ozarkcoastkiwanis.org/second-chance-bikes.asp
Over the last year, 200 bikes have been refurbished and given to area kids.
Clean out your garages:  More used bikes that have some life left in them are needed.  We’ll clean them up, put on new seats or tires and make them perfect for high energy kids to learn and ride until they are worn out.  Especially needed are 20” or smaller bikes. Bikes can be dropped off at Faithbridge Church any day as well as collected at the rodeo.
