  • A Lake Ozark area restaurant is one of several in Missouri but the only at the Lake of the Ozarks to earn a Wine Spectator's 2014 Restaurant Award. Located in Horseshoe Bend, The Duck is a fine waterfront dining establishment that is a regular in Wine Spectator awards.
    The magazine's list highlights eateries around the globe that offer the best wine selections. This year's awards went to 3,748 restaurants across the United States and more than 80 countries and territories.
    Several restaurants in the Kansas City and St. Louis areas made the list as well as one each in Branson, Cape Girardeau and Columbia.
    The Duck earned the program's entry level Award of Excellence which recognizes restaurant's with a wine list that offers an interesting and diverse selection and that are presented well and match the restaurant's cuisine in price and style.
    The complete list of winners will be featured in the Aug. 31 issue of Wine Spectator available on newsstands July 22.
