  • Summertime is the perfect time of year to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine with the family. What better way than to go berry picking? Not far from Camdenton sits a quaint blueberry patch — Auglaize Berry Patch — that holds more than 20 rows of berries. The patch is home to a variety of blueberries perfect for any recipe.
    This leisure activity is fun for anyone at any age. Young children and adults alike enjoy passing the time while walking up and down the rows looking for those perfectly ripe berries.
    The patch has been opened for almost a week and plans to stay open until July 4 or so depending on the berries.
     If you go....
    Where: The patch does not have an actual address. Journey down A Road off of 54 in Camdenton. You will pass the Trapshooting range and continue for a few more miles. The patch is on your left. There is a small sign of a picture of blueberries pointing toward the patch. It is easy to miss so keep an eye out for it!
    Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
    Cost: $3 per pound
    What you need to take with you: Sunscreen if you go on a sunny day and plenty of cash
    Buckets and bags are available for pickers.
