  • Two Camdenton men have been arrested on drug charges after a K-9 unit alerted to narcotics in a vehicle.
    Camden County deputies responded to the 100 block of Highland Glen Court in Camdenton on June 11 after dispatch received a 911 call of a possible burglary in progress.
    Upon arrival the deputies located a vehicle occupied by two male subjects, according to a press release from the Camden County Sheriff's Office. During the investigation it was discovered a burglary had not occurred.
    Members of the department's street crimes unit, the deputies were familiar with the two subjects in the vehicle, however, and conducted a K-9 sniff of the vehicle, the press release stated.
    The K-9 unit reportedly alerted on the vehicle to the presence of the odor of narcotics, and deputies seized packaged methamphetamine from the vehicle.
    Michael K. Regehr, 29, was taken into custody and charged with a Class B Felony of distribute/deliver/manufacture/produce a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or $30,000 surety. Regehr was released after posting bond.
    Jeffrey A. Milligan, 41, was taken into custody on four outstanding warrants and is currently being held in the Camden County Adult Detention Facility.
