  • An Overland Park, Kan. teen suffered serious injuries when two personal watercraft collided on the Lake of the Ozarks.
Joshua Cowell, 19, was an occupant on a 2006 Yamaha jet ski driven by 18-year-old Adam Bevil of Overland Park, Kan. Bevil and the driver of another PWC, Andrew Martin, 19, also of Overland Park, Kan. steered both vessels right at the same time. Martin's PWC struck Bevil's PWC and Cowell at the 8.5 mile marker of the Big Niangua Arm.
Cowell was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. All three were wearing a safety device at the time of the collision. Bevil and Martin did not sustain injuries as listed on the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
