    Overall record: 13-14
First ever district title and state tournament berth
The Eldon baseball team not only tied a school record for wins in a season on this past campaign with 13, but also won the first district tournament in school history. The future is bright for the Mustangs because they will return all but two members of their first-ever state tournament team, including eight of nine opening day starters. With the experience of making a state tournament run and the talent that a few new freshmen will bring, Eldon will be ready to make another run at another state tournament berth in 2015.
    Honorable mentions:
Grant Burton, Camdenton boys' tennis - freshman
Grant Burton of Camdenton High School was one of the reasons why the Lakers finished fifth in their conference this season, and gives the team hope that it will be able to build on that success in the coming years.
Burton was half of the conference third-place doubles team, along with senior Ryan Elliott.
His raw skills are advanced for his age, and now with a year of high school experience under his belt, there is no reason to believe that Burton can’t progress to become one of the best players in the state.
Morgan Breneman, Osage girls' soccer - freshman
Morgan Breneman has come along well for the Osage Lady Indians and was awarded with All-Region selection as a forward.
Working in Coach Angie Libby's new system has proved to be an environment that Breneman has thrived in. Her speed and quick maneuvering makes her deadly as the top threat for Osage's offense, which they rely on, as the team's first and foremost focus is strong defensive play.
