To get the creative juices flowing, a new studio in Osage Beach may be the answer. Get Fired Studio, a paint-your-own pottery store, is a great place for the entire family.
Owner Casee Chamberlin has a passion for painting that she can now share with others after opening the studio's doors a few weeks ago.
Anything from mugs, bowls, platters to decorative pieces can be found at the store. The store is open throughout the week for individuals to just come in and paint but special events are also scheduled on weeknights.
On Thursday it's Ladies Night from 4-7 p.m. where there is no studio fee. On Saturday it's Pajama Night from 5-8 p.m. Wear your PJs and you won't be charged the studio fee.
The studio is perfect for birthday parties and other group outings, as well.

    How it works:
Choose between the more than 300 pieces of pottery — from lawn ornaments, bathroom items (soap dispensers and toothbrush holders), kitchen items (cookie jars, butter dishes, coffee mugs, and chips and dip trays), trinket boxes, holiday items like ornaments, bowls, tiles and many other pieces. Pottery items range in cost from 75 cents to $95 each.
The studio fee (a daily fee, not hourly like some studios) is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 17 years old. That fee includes paints, glazing, supplies and firing.
There are 91 colors to select from, pen writers, sponges and other tools are available to use. You don't have to be creative to be able to make a masterpiece. Tools such as stamps, and some help from Casee, will help one create a unique piece of art.
The item will be available to pick up in 5-7 days. For those from outside the Lake area, it can be shipped to you.
The pottery is safe for food, non-toxic and lead free.
