  • School of the Osage has announced the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award for the 2014 Graduation Ceremony: Tennyson DeGraffenreid, also known as T.A.
    Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at the football field. In case of inclement weather, graduation will be held in the OHS gymnasium.
    DeGraffenreid graduated from School of the Osage in 1939 and is currently the oldest living Osage alumni. He is a licensed aircraft and engine mechanic, served in the Air Force in 1945 in Frankfort, Germany, worked for TWA and retired from Union Electric after 33 years of service.
    He and his wife, Vivian, have been married for 61 years. They have a son, a daughter and spouse, three granddaughters and their husbands, and one great-granddaughter.
    He has been actively involved in the Lions Club, the Osage Alumni Association and is a member of the Lake Ozark Christian Church.
