  • Construction on The Lodge at Old Kinderhook is underway. The first floor is almost completely framed. The lodge should have a roof within five weeks. Plans for the lodge were revealed in October 2013.
Old Kinderhook Executive Director Bob Renken unveiled plans for the development's newest project, an 84 room lodge and conference center, during a reception in October. The development is located west of Camdenton off of U.S. Highway 54 on Eagle Ridge Road on the 12-mile marker of the Big Niangua.
Renken estimates the project costs to be approximately $10 million. At least 20 new jobs will be created. The new lodge will be located adjacent to the existing golf shop. Thomas Construction of Osage Beach has been selected to head up the project which is estimated to be completed in 12 months.
Construction is expected to be complete sometime in late 2014.
