  • The Camdenton Laker tennis team headed to Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield Tuesday evening to participate in the Ozark Conference tournament. Despite missing four players due to IB testing, the team finished in fifth.
Freshman Grant Burton and senior Ryan Elliott were the top finishers for the Lakers, earning the third place medal in A flight doubles.
Logan Hollingsworth took fifth place in B flight singles and the doubles team of Stephon Peterson and Zane Brewer finished in seventh place in B flight doubles.
The Lakers finished just one point behind Rolla. Glendale took the Ozark Conference title with Joplin and Kickapoo finishing in a tie for second.
The Lakers will participate in the district tournament as a team beginning on May 12 against Helias. The winner of that dual will face the Rock Bridge team.
