  • Three honored as Camdenton Teachers, Educator of the Year

  • During a banquet held at the Grand Glaize Inn on Tuesday night, teachers from the Camdenton R-III District were honored.
    Thirteen teachers were nominated for Teacher of the Year. Two were chosen; one representing elementary education and the other representing secondary education.
    Angela Biggers of Hurricane Deck Elementary along with Beth Hines of Camdenton High School were both chosen as Teachers of the Year.
    Eight educators were in the running for the prestigious title of Educator of the Year. Melinda Whitney of Camdenton High School was chosen.
    The nominees:

    Hawthorn Elementary: Allison D. Jolly, Denise Richardson
    Hurricane Deck Elementary: Angela Biggers*
    Oak Ridge Intermediate: Christi Calvert, Tabitha Thompson
    Osage Beach Elementary: Susan Casey
    Camdenton Middle School: Tim Mulford, Jane Seifert
    Camdenton High School: Chris Garstang, Beth Hines*
    Lake Career and Technical Center: Jeff Kitchen
    Educator of the Year
