  • On May 1, the Camdenton Middle School held an induction ceremony for the National Junior Honor Society. Missouri State Representative Diane Franklin was the keynote speaker for the evening.
    Two hundred sixteen students from the seventh and eight grade were inducted to the People of Perception Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Students were selected who possess the five pillars as outlined by the national guidelines. They include scholarship, (9.7 GPA or higher on an 11 point scale,) leadership, service, character, and citizenship.
    They must be students in good standing with the school with no major discipline or attendance problems.
    The NJHS sponsors from the middle school are: student counselor Pat McWhirter, seventh grade teacher Kelli Anderson, and eighth grade teacher Lori Sullivan.
