  • A man and woman from Climax Springs are facing drug-related charges after being arrested in a narcotics investigation May 1.
    The Camden County Street Crimes Unit and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group arrested Matthew Allen Fitzwater, 49, and Rebecca Irene Randolph, 22, Thursday after a search in the 100 block of Payton Place, Climax Springs. During the search, a red phosphorus methamphetamine lab was seized along with methamphetamine, according to a press release from the Camden County Sheriff's Office.
    Fitzwater has been charged with a Class B Felony of distribute/deliver/manufacture/produce or attempt to or possess with intent to distribute/deliver/manufacture/produce a controlled substance and a Class A Misdemeanor of possession of a controlled substance. He is currently being held in the Camden County Adult Detention Facility on a $1,000.00 cash or $7,500.00 surety bond.
    Randolph has been charged with a Class C Felony of possession of a controlled substance, and a Class A Misdemeanor of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. She is currently being held in the Camden County Adult Detention Facility of $1,000.00 cash or $7,500.00 surety bond.
