Two Eldon men were involved in a fatal vehicle accident on Saturday night.

Around 10:41 p.m., the 2014 GMC Denali driven by Christopher Young, 26, was traveling Northbound on Route D at Riddle Road in Miller County. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway before overcorrecting. The vehicle then travelled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Young was pronounced deceased on the scene while the passenger, Colin Campbell, 26, suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Medical Center.

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
