Lake Regional Health System recently signed an agreement with Coventry Health Care of Missouri’s Medicare networks. Under the agreement, effective May 1, members of Coventry’s Medicare Advantage plans, Gold Advantage HMO and Advantra PPO, can receive covered services at in-network benefits from Lake Regional Hospital, clinics and Imaging Center.
“We’re pleased to provide access to our health care services to Coventry Medicare members,” said Kristen Prenger, Lake Regional director of Managed Care. “All providers at Lake Regional Hospital, Imaging Center and clinic locations will be in-network, contracted providers of the Coventry Medicare Advantage plans.”
A Medicare Advantage plan is another Medicare health plan choice that may be selected in replacement of Medicare. These plans are offered by private companies with Medicare approval. They are sometimes referred to as Part C or MA Plans. Advantage plans cover all services that original Medicare covers.
Lake Regional is currently contracted with Coventry Health Care and the Coventry product offered through the health insurance exchange, healthcare.gov.
