  • The fifth annual Dallas County Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Buffalo Prairie Middle School, Buffalo, Mo.
The Expo features Dallas County businesses. Last year more than 2,500 people attended the event, which is free.
There will be door prizes valued from $8,000 to $9,000, plus some other prizes at local booths. Drawings for the door prizes take place throughout the Expo, and this year Kelsey Hayes, Miss Dallas County, and Alliyah Buckley, Little Miss Dallas County, will draw for the prizes.
Several food vendors will be at the Expo, including the Dallas County Cattlemen’s Association, Brickhouse Smoked Meats, Maple Street Grill and Made From Scratch. The Dallas County Farm Bureau will have shaved ice.
There will be plenty of activities for kids at the YMCA booth. Also, there will be miniature horses, llamas and a drunk driving simulation operation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
A new activity this year will be a “Car Bash,” sponsored by Dallas County Relay For Life. Also, there will be a high school art competition and a middle school art show.
For more information or to interview contact Kathy Kesler, chamber director at 417-345-2852 or event coordinator, Paul Campbell, 417-345-2224.
