The Lakers' varsity golf team hit the greens once again on Tuesday, April 8 in a triangular match with Farmington and Park Hills Central.

The Lakers finished in the lead with a team score of 156, a full 12 strokes ahead of Farmington and 30 strokes ahead of Central. Leading the Lakers was the match-winner, Braden Demark, finishing with an even par 36. Seth Crockett was right behind with a 38, with Mason Bennett getting a 40 and Michael Hake a 42.

The Lakers followed this feat up with a second-place finish at the Farmington Invitational, beating 13 other teams. The first-place honors went to Notre Dame from Cape Girardeau, who finished the tournament with a team score of 299. The Laker boys recorded a 317.

Michael Pfitzner was the medalist for the Lakers while also tying for 2nd place overall with a  2 over-par round of 74. Braden Demark shot a 78 while earning a 7th place medal. Rounding out the scores for the Lakers was Michael Hake with an 82 and Mason Bennett with an 83.

The Varsity Lakers are in action again next Monday, April 14th, at the Smith-Cotton Classic in Sedalia.
