  • Welcoming a new baby into your family doesn’t come with an owner’s manual to guide you step-by-step. Fortunately for parents and grandparents, a great resource is right here in Jefferson City.
St. Mary’s Health Center, Jefferson City Medical Group and Whaley’s Mommy & Me are hosting the Baby Bonanza 2014 on Sunday, April 6, from 1-4 p.m. at Capitol Plaza Hotel. The big event will feature a ballroom full of exhibit booths all focused on providing information and products useful to new parents. Last year, exhibit booths included local pediatricians, baby stores, savings programs, breastfeeding education, photography, chiropractic care, baby food, educational toys and much more.
In addition, the event also features four educational sessions, including a daddy boot camp session for dads; a fitness demonstration for moms and babies; presentation on “Labor and Delivery 101” by Jodi Berendzen, MD, and Amanda Rodemann, DO, Women’s Clinic of JCMG; and “Vitamin K and Vaccines” by Brian Conley, MD, St. Mary’s Pediatrics Clinic.
This event is $5 general admission, no RSVP needed and all proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.  For more information on the event, including times of speaker presentations, crawling contests, and fashion show, go to www.babybonanza.org or call (573) 761-7175.
