The Camdenton Lakers, after defeating Helias, had a break until their next match, which arrives next week.

But the JV squad has been at it, competing in the Lebanon Invitational on Monday. Camdenton sent two groups to the event, from which the first group finished fifth out of the ten teams there.

Leading the Lakers on the day was Brendan Babbs and Nick Weber with each golfer scoring a 92 on the day, followed by a 94 from Hunter Glynn and a 98 from Louis Brother. Caleb Crockett rounded out the first group.

The second group of JV Lakers shot a team score of 556, with Caleb Shelton shooting a 104, Conner Thill a 110, Adam Davies a 111, Tristian Straw a 118 and Lee Kitchen rounding out the squad with a 123.

"As always at the first couple of tournaments of the year, the weather played a major factor in the scoring. The wind blew upwards of 30 mph and the players had to be pulled from the course for storm delays," Coach Todd Nicklas said. "But, all in all, it a good day for the young Lakers to gain some valuable tournament experience."
