Loved her family and her cats
Samantha (Sam, Sammi) Lee was born on June 25, 1967 in Kansas City, Kansas. Her parents were/are Janet & Forest (Bud) Lee.
Along with her brother, Laurence, the family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1968.
She was a graduate of Versailles High School in 1985, and graduated from William Woods College in 1989. She was married to Vince Williams for over 8 years.
Samantha lived in Springfield, Osage Beach, and North Kansas City, Missouri until the past month. The last 5 weeks she and her mother have shared their lake home. Sam’s intention was to move on to Dallas, Texas. She had worked for Northcare Hospice in North Kansas City, Missouri for six years and most recently at Realty Executives in Overland Park, Kansas.
Samantha passed away very suddenly Friday, March 7th. She was 46 years old.
She loved her family and so enjoyed her four cats. She was a devoted member of the Kitty Cat Connection in Kansas City, serving on their board. Her love, presence, quick wit, beauty and thoughtfulness will be missed tremendously by her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Jan Lee of Fort Meyers Beach, Florida; her brother, Laurence Lee and wife Theresa of Dallas, Texas; her half-sister, Barbara McGrath and husband Barry and their family of Denver, Colorado; nieces, Madison Lee and Nikki Lee both of Dallas, Texas; aunts, Lao Culver of Folsom, California and Jeane Appell of Auburn, California and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death was a brother Terence Martin, her father, Forest (Bud) Lee and a half-sister, Judy Segraves.
A celebration of Samantha’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15th, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the following: Kitty Cat Connection, P.O.
