Served honorably during WWII

Donald P. Boyd, 87, of Sun City Arizona passed away February 11, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He and his wife, Faye, lived in the Camdenton area from approximately 1975 – 1996. He and his son developed Boyd Development. The end result was the Boyd Estates subdivision off of Highway 5.

He was preceded in death by his son Bob Boyd and daughter-in-law, Debbie Rust Boyd of Camdenton, his parents, sister and brother.

Surviving him are his wife, Faye of Sun City, Arizona, 3 daughters, Kathy (Harry) Fuller of Chandler, Arizona, Patt (Herb) Jones of Terre Haute, Indiana, Peggy (Rick) Leffingwell of San Tan Valley, Arizona. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Luke Air Force Honor Guard held a military flag ceremony and presented his wife, Faye, with the American flag in honor of his service to our country during World War II. Memorial services will be held in Iowa at a later date. Memorials will be given to the Shriner’s Children’s Burn Unit.
