  • The Missouri Department of Transportation will make improvements to the signal lights at the intersection of Routes 7 and 133 in Richland, after approval of a contract today by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
Under a contract awarded to Reinhold Electric, Inc. of Jefferson City, the current signal lights will be taken down and placed on poles across the intersection.
“Placing the lights on poles will make the intersection safer for those who pass through,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Project Manager Gidget Mott.
The contract for the work totals $97,903. The new signals are expected to be installed in the spring and summer of 2014, which could cause periodic traffic delays.
