  • The Laker Theatre Company is preparing for one of its biggest shows to date. Tickets are now on sale for the high school version of “Grease.”
    This play is suitable for all ages and will be presented by the talented students of Camdenton High School’s Laker Theatre Company.
    The musical, set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School, follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of love.
    The score attempts to recreate the sounds of early rock and roll.
    The show will take place Friday, Feb. 21, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at both 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2:00 p.m.
    Tickets are $4 for students and children and $7 for adults.
    Hundreds of tickets have already been sold, so do not delay on reserving a seat.
    For Camdenton R-III third through eighth graders, the Laker Theatre Company have a way to give you a sneak peak of the show and an opportunity to learn a number from the musical.
    Students are welcome to attend the Grease Musical Theatre Workshop on Feb. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    Students will learn a music and dance for two production numbers and perform during the pre-show and finale for one production of Grease.
    For $25 a student, they will receive a t-shirt and a student ticket to the show.
