    An analysis by Consumer Reports found that a chemical used as “caramel coloring” in sodas might cause cancer. Consumer Reports said that 4-methylimidazole, aka 4-MeI, has been targeted by the World Health Organization and the state of California. Consumer Reports says that Pepsi One and Malta Goya have large amounts of the chemical, while other brands have “acceptable” amounts of it.
