  • Ameren Missouri has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity to build solar generation facilities in O'Fallon, Mo.
    According to the application, the location is adjacent to an existing Ameren Missouri substation and is on land already owned by the electric company. It is also within Ameren Missouri's certificated service territory. Ameren Missouri says construction is anticipated to begin in May of 2014 and is to be completed by the end of the year.
    Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than Feb. 3, 2014, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, MO 65102, or by using the Commission's electronic filing and information service (EFIS).

The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission.
