  • Residents of Camden County (18 years and older) are urged to vote in the Camden County University of Missouri Extension Council elections that are taking place Jan. 18-24.

  • Residents of Camden County (18 years and older) are urged to vote in the Camden County University of Missouri Extension Council elections that are taking place Jan. 18-24.
    Council Chair Tom Walker said seven county residents will be elected to fill this year’s vacancies in Districts I, II & III.  The nominees are as follows:
    District I (Camdenton, Decaturville, Ha Ha Tonka, Horseshoe Bend, Linn Creek, Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Sunny Slope, Wilson Bend) - 5 positions open, each elected for a two-year term:
    • Jeff Bethurem, Osage Beach
    • Matt Birdsley, Lake Ozark
    • Norma Botdorf, Camdenton
    • Dennis Bruns, Camdenton
    • Andy Draper, Lake Ozark
    • Jim Gilley, Camdenton
    • Karen Hughes, Lake Ozark      
    • Chad Lewis, Osage Beach
    • Sandy Nelson, Camdenton
    • Michael Scahill, Sunrise Beach
    • Tracy Stauch, Camdenton
    • Tom Walker, Osage Beach
     
    District II (Barnumton, Branch, Climax Springs, Macks Creek, Roach, Greenview) – 1 position open, elected for a two-year term:
    • Pam Lancaster, Camdenton
    • Sheila Morse, Camdenton
     
    District III (Freedom, Toronto, Hill House, Montreal, Stoutland) – 1 position open, elected for a two-year term:
    • Donna Owen, Stoutland
         
    Members of the public will have two options to cast a vote this year.  Votes can be cast online at www.extension.missouri.edu/camden/ - click on the “Council election – voting open ”, or at one of several polling places located throughout the county.   Online voting may be done from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.  Polling places will be set up at several public places throughout the county from 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, through 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.
     
    The following polling places will be open during business hours for district residents to vote:
    • County Clerk’s Office, Courthouse, Camdenton, District I, II & III
    • University Outreach & Extension Center, Camdenton, District I, II & III
    • Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks (Main Branch) – Osage Beach,  District I
    • City Hall – Osage Beach, District I
    • Administrative Bldg., Fire Station #1 – Sunrise Beach, District I & II
    • Quietside  Quick Stop – Roach,  District II
    • Senior Center – Macks Creek (a.m. Wed. & Friday), District II
    • Library – Climax Springs (Tues.-Thurs.),    District II
    • Quick Shop – Montreal, District III
