  • The Optimist Club of Camdenton is pleased to announce the winners of the Optimist Attendance Award at Dogwood Elementary School, Camdenton.
Classes with the highest attendance percentage each quarter win the award.  Students receive a pencil and sticker but most important, the class receives the traveling trophy to proudly keep in their classroom until the presentation is made for the next quarter.
In past years, the competition has been done by grade however this year, one class in each “community” will receive the trophy.  The classes at Dogwood Elementary are divided up into three “communities” (classrooms in the same hallway or in the same area of the building).
The school reviewed the attendance records for the second quarter and the trophies were presented December 19, 2013 during the school assembly.  Winners for the quarter are as follows:
        Community        Attendance        Teacher
        Sapphire Community    96.40%        Mrs. Carter
Ruby Lake Community    95.19%        Mrs. Stolte
        Emerald Community    94.84%        Mrs. Hollingsworth
Each class will keep the trophy in their room until the 3rd quarter winners are announced later this spring.
