  • An Osage Beach man was killed in a one-vehicle accident about 11:40 p.m. Christmas Eve on Midway Road one tenth of a mile north of Cave Road in Miller County.
    Pronounced dead at the scene at 1:05 a.m. Christmas Day by Miller County Coroner Rick Callahan was Kenneth E. Parsons, 63. Taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries was Eugena D. Parsons, 55, Eldon.
    Neither individual was wearing a seat belt.
    The accident occurred as the 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Kenneth Parsons crossed the centerline, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, became airborne, struck a tree and overturned, partially ejecting the driver. The vehicle came to rest off the roadway on its top.
    This was Troop F’s sixth traffic death for December and the 52nd for 2013.
    •Stephanie L. Chrisman, 30, Sunrise Beach, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident about 7:25 p.m. Christmas Eve on Purvis Road about 146 feet south of County Road 5-27 in Camden County.
    She was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by Staff for Life.
    The accident occurred as Chrisman, driving a 2002 Ford Mustang failed to negotiate a curve. Her vehicle crossed the centerline, she overcorrected and ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
