  • A Sunrise Beach man is behind bars after being pulled over with drugs and a stolen firearm.
    According to the Miller County Sheriff William M. “Bill” Abbott, during the early morning hours of Dec. 20, the Miller County Sheriff’s Department, Mid-Mo Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Lake Ozark Police Department searched a vehicle that had been stopped by the Missouri State Highway Patrol after the Miller County K-9 alerted to the vehicle for the presence of a narcotic odor.
    During the search of the vehicle, a large amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, pills, paraphernalia and guns, including a stolen gun were located in the vehicle.
    The driver of the vehicle, Eric Roland, of Sunrise Beach, was arrested and is currently being held at the Miller County Adult Detention Center on a $300,000 cash/surety bond for 1st degree Drug Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to distribute, and Possession of Stolen Property.
