The Lake Area Community Orchestra will have its first of six performances of the winter season Sunday, Dec. 1 with a concert at Community Christian Church in Camdenton. Performances will take place Sunday and Tuesday evenings the first three weeks in December.
All concerts start at 7 p.m., except where indicated.
The concerts have no admission fee, but donations will be accepted.
Under the direction of Rose Adams, the orchestra will perform Christmas carols, including versions of “Silent Night” and “Sleigh Ride,” a rousing performance of “Seventy Six Trombones,” “Sheep May Safely Graze” and a fun-filled performance of “Peter and the Wolf” kids will enjoy.
More than 40 musicians ranging in age from high school to the 70's make up this orchestra and come from many communities surrounding the Lake of the Ozarks area and as far away as California and Jefferson City.
