Missouri admitted to the Confederacy
Contrary to Union written history books, Missouri was not a "loyal Union state." It was captured shortly after the war began and spent the war years under Marshall Law. The duly elected officials of the State of Missouri were granted admission to the Confederacy on November 28, 1861.
