  • Not much is cozier than some warm woolen mittens when the temperature drops. This winter, 22 ladies belonging to the Lutheran Woman's Missionary League at Peace Lutheran Church in the Greenview area of Camden County are helping to make sure area children stay warm with donations of some of our 'favorite things.'
The group recently collected mittens as well as hats and scarves to outfit children in need this winter. The ladies also knitted and crocheted over 300 newborn hats providing warmth for babies from Jefferson City to St. Louis.
The project of love will continue year round with the next batch of hats destined for "Afghans For Angels" in Jefferson City.
