  • The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of November 18 – November 29, 2013. Scheduled lane closures will not take place on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area.
    Camden County
    Daylight Hours
    * Route 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck – Bridge replacement continues. The new bridge is open to traffic. The contractor will perform general cleanup under the bridge and prepare to start demolishing the old Hurricane Deck Bridge over the next several months. The work will have little impact on traffic, except when the blasting takes place. The first blast is tentatively planned for Thursday, December 5 at 11:00 a.m. The blast will require the road to be closed for approximately 15 minutes.
     
    Miller County
    Daylight Hours
    * Route 52 between Route 17 and Route 54 - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
     
    * Route 52 between Route CC and Walnut Street in Eldon – Culvert pipe repair will take place Wednesday, December 4 through Friday, December 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
     
    * Route U between Route 42 and Route EE – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Tuesday, December 3 through Friday, December 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
     
    * Route Y between Route W and Hittridge Road – Culvert pipe repair will take place Monday, December 2 through Wednesday, December 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
     
    Morgan County
    Daylight Hours
    * Route 5 between Route 52 and the Niangua Bridge in Camden County - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders, and installation of rumble strips continues. Occasional lane closures are likely in the work zones.  The project is scheduled for completion in early December.
