Lady Saints first year women’s basketball coach Leann Dahlstein recorded her first career win at Central Christian College of the Bible when her team knocked off Stephens College of Columbia by a 63-57 score on Nov. 14.
CCCB nailed 10 3-pointers during the contest with Kelsi Mueller accounting for four of those bombs en route to scoring 23 points and having 14 rebounds. Katelynn Frazier added 21 points for the cause.
Two days later the Lady Saints travelled to Joplin and returned home with an 84-71 win against Ozark Christian College.
CCCB women lost an exhibition game Monday at Central Methodist University of Fayette 110-66. Mueller netted 26 points to pace the Lady Saints. Kylie Ducat had 18, Tianna Terry scored 10 points and Frazier 10.
CMU Eagles (5-0) leading scorer was junior Morgan Vetter who set a new college record by draining nine 3-pointers to score 31 points. Vetter is a graduate of Salisbury High School and spent her previous two seasons playing here at Moberly Area Community College.
CCCB women of Moberly (2-5, 1-0 Midwest Christian College Conference) will host Emmause Bible College this Friday in a women/men’s double header starting at 5:30 p.m.
