Lloyd Moreland of Camdenton may have taken all year for things to finally come together on the racetrack, but in the last race of the year, Moreland secured his first win.
At the last Mickey Thompson Shootout Series race, Lloyd qualified with a 4.93, clocked at 148.72 miles per hour on the 1/8 mile course. He went on to run three more times at 4.90 to take his first race win at the Mickey Thompson Shootout Series, Race #9 at Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis on Nov. 2.
Moreland's car runs in the Real Street class. The car is a 2,000 Chevy Camaro with a turbo charger, LSX small block engine.
Lloyd's best E.T. and speed came two weeks earlier at Holly Springs, Miss. where he finished with a 4.85 at 152 mph. He now anxiously awaits for the next season to start.
