    The Stover Hometown Christmas Open House will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Stores prepared for the Christmas season will be open into the evening offering refreshments, discounts and door prizes. Register at each business for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate for each business - a value of $250.
    Participating businesses include Turtle Cove, Room to Bloom, Circle M Cafe, Goetze Bros. Carpet & Furniture and Origami Owl Custom Jewelry, Rocking M Ranch Western Emporium, Stephanie's Salon, Broaster Stop, Casa Bonita, Light & Grace Stained Glass, Dale's Custom Made Knives.
    At Turtle Cove on Highway 52, they will be offering coffee, cupcakes and hot mulled wines. Register to win a pound of freshly roasted coffee.
    Room to Bloom gift shop, located on Highway 52 on the west end of town, will have storewide special and a snowman bell for the first 50 customers through the door. You can also register for a fresh custom Christmas centerpiece for your home.
    Have dinner at the Circle M Cafe. The restaurant at Highway 52 and Oak St. is featuring $1 off its Friday evening buffet and $1 off its shrimp boil special. Or go to Broaster stop and get $1 off a broaster chicken basket.
    All recliners at Goetze Bros. Carpet & Furniture will be 30 percent off. Spin the wheel for door prizes and discounts. Layaway is also available for Christmas. An Origami Owl Custom Jewelry associate will also be offering specials and taking orders at Goetze Bros. New fall products will be on display.
    Cowboy up at the Rocking M Ranch Western Emporium, also on the west side of town. The store will be offering holiday door prizes and storewide discounts.
    Stephanie's Salon will be open and offering 10 percent off dress purchases and $5 off jewelry.
    At the corner of Highways 52 and 135, Casa Bonita will offer 50 percent of on select outdoor pottery and a 15 percent off sale storewide. The shop features southwest-style pottery and home goods. You can also register to win a select piece of pottery.
    Just south of Casa Bonita on Highway 135 is the Light & Grace Stained Glass Shop. Find creative stained glass gifts at discounted prices, or sign up for one of their classes and learn to do it yourself. Door prizes will also be given away.
    Located north of Nustyle, Dale's Custom Made Knives may have the perfect gift for the man in your life. Register for a free knife sharpening while you're there and tour the knife-making process.
