Thursday, Nov. 7th
Taste of Home Cooking Show begins at 6:30 p.m. featuring cooking specialist Guy Klinzing. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. The event takes place at the Crossings, 810 E. Shepherd. Door prizes include 20 bags of HyVee groceries, 6 Taste of Home Cook books, a $200 shopping spree at HyVee, and 2 Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers. Tickets will still be available at the door. Thursday, Nov. 7th
Kohlenberg Lyceum Series presents Liverpool Legends Beatles Tribute Band. Performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Baldwin Auditorium on the Truman campus. The musicians have been hand-picked by Louise Harrison, sister of George Harrison. Liverpool Legends has won best new show in Branson Missouri, where they began performing in 2006. More information is available on line at lyceum.truman.edu.
Friday, Nov. 8th
Truman’s Student Activities Board is bringing comedien Vanessa Bayer to Kirksville to perform. Vanessa is a current cast member of Saturday Night Live. She has been part of the SNL cast since 2010 and has portrayed many celebraties including: Miley Cyrus; Hillary Clinton; and Kourtney Kardashian. Tickets and information available at the Student Union.
Wednesday, Nov. 13th
Creature Feature: Armored Adventures will be at the Conservation Department Northeast Regional Office, 3500 S. Baltimore from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Strange armored creatures have found a home in Missouri, and warmer winters could bring them into our part of the state. Learn about these unique animals and discover how we can track their population. Recommended for ages 7-12, children must be accompanied by an adult.
