  • Paul's Supermarkets in Lake Ozark, Osage Beach and Eldon raised a combined total of nearly $1,900 during a Purple Ribbon Campaign held in October. October was Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Local businesses were asked to collect donations in exchange for purple ribbon cards to raise money and awareness for Citizens Against Domestic Violence/Victim Outreach Center.
Paul's cashier Devon Hall was recognized for raising the most money out of all employees at Paul's.
In addition to Paul's, other businesses that participated in the Purple Ribbon Campaign were at Bank Star One and Save-A-Lot.
Money raised will go to CADV/VOC, a not-for-profit organization that offers various services including a 24-hour hotline, support groups, crisis intervention, food, shelter, advocacy and support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
So far in 2013, CADV has covered 354 hotline calls, provided 2,066 bed nights, assisted 276 new victims and 430 ongoing victims, provided support for 49 SART hospital calls, and free counseling to 316 women in need.
