  • The Lake Arts Council is very excited to sponsor the return engagement of the St. Louis Osuwa Taiko Drummers on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at the R. C. Worthan Auditorium in Camdenton High School.
This high energy community group presents a cross between music, dance and athleticism while performing on the "big fat drums" preserving an art introduced to Japan between 500 BC and 300 AD.
Following the performance there will be an opportunity for interested audience members to participate in a Taiko workshop presented by the performers.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students under the age of 18.  Reservations are available by calling the LAC office at 573-964-6366 or by e-mail at lakeartscouncil@yahoo.com.  You may purchase your tickets at the LAC office or purchase online at https://lactaikodrummers2013.eventbrite.com/.  Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the performance.
This is a dynamic group of performers and sure to please audiences of all ages.
Be sure to tell your friends, family, neighbors, office partners, church congregations and everyone else you can think of to come out and support this great event.
