Lake Regional Health System is partnering with the University of Missouri Extension and Camdenton-area grocery stores to offer guidance on shopping for healthy, affordable foods.
Cooking Matters at the Store, a free, guided grocery store tour, offers advice for families wanting to eat healthy and stay on budget.
The tour includes information on comparing prices, how to read labels and identifying key nutrients. Participants will receive a free workbook of low-cost recipes and healthy tips, and a reusable grocery bag.
In Camdenton, tours will take place at Gerbes on Tuesday, Nov. 5; Wal-Mart on Tuesday, Nov. 12; and Save-A-Lot on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Tours begin at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
