The Lake Theatre company is gearing up to present their first of two fall performances. Tickets are now on sale for "The Caucasian Chalk Circle."
Camdenton High School students will perform this playful parable written by Bertolt Brecht which calls into question the basic assumptions of right in a world that has gone wrong. The audience will hear the narrator warn, "Terrible is the temptation to do good." Good is all that Grusha, the kitchen maid, knows. In the midst of a revolution, she comes to the aid of a poor defenseless infant. Grusha and the misadventures across her war-torn country is the heart of the story.
Audiences can see the show on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $1 for students and $4 for adults. For phone orders and more information, call 573-216-8926. Tickets can be purchased online at www.camdentonschools.org. Tickets can be purchased at the door but limited seating may be available.
