Costume for Cancer 5K Walk/Run
Put on your Halloween costume and participate in the Costume for Cancer 5K Walk/Run on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. Hosted by CALO in Lake Ozark, cost is $20 for pre-registered participants and $25 the day of the race. Children under 12 are free. A family of four (over the age of 12) is $50 with $10 for each additional family member. Registration on the day of the event begins at 5:30 p.m. and a costume contest will be held at 6:15 p.m.

The second annual FunLake Golf Spooktacular will be held at the Hidden Lakes Golf Course at Tan-Tar-A Resort. Wear your best Halloween costume for this nine-hole scramble on Oct. 29. Cost is $50 per player.
Registration is at noon with a 1 p.m. lunch and shotgun start. This is a four-person Best Ball 9 Hole Scramble with a silent auction, costume contest, putting contest, longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin contest and fun give-a-ways.

Walk on the Rocks
Hy-Vee will host the 9th annual Walk on the Rocks for the Dream Factory on Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m. A maze with booths sponsored by area businesses will be handing out treats. Cost is $2 per child.

Hy-Vee in Osage Beach has turned their parking lot into a pumpkin patch. Through Oct. 27 visit the Hy-Vee Hollow for pumpkins, gourds and decorations. Hayrack rides, corn pits, slides, a hay mountain, old-fashioned water duck races, bean bag toss and more family fun can be found. Check out the Hy-Vee Hollow Gift Shop. Open daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Every Saturday and Sunday have fun in the hollow and grab a bite to eat.
Ha Ha Haunt
The Ha Ha Haunt at Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton will take place Oct. 25 from 5-8 p.m. For more information, call 573-346-2986.
The Haunted Hayride at the Laurie Fairgrounds will be Oct. 25 & 26. The hayride begins at dusk each night at about 7:15 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. S.T.A.F.F. Animal Rescue & Thrift Store hosts the rides through the 27-acre park. See ghosts and goblins around every tree.
Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 & under, and free for ages 3 & under. Group rates available.

The Dogwood Animal Shelter is having a Howl-O-Ween Festival for families and furry friends on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A pet parade, pet contests, halloween costume contest (pet/owner look-a-like, best kisser, longest tail, dog food pie eating contest and more), hamburgers and hotdogs, and crafts and vendor booths. Games and activities will be held for the kids.
While hayrides are free for overnight guests at Lodge of Four Seasons, non-guests can pay $10 for a party of four to ride. Held every Saturday evening through Nov. 16 there is a lakeside campfire, s’mores and pumpkins for the kids. For reservations, call 573-365-3000.
The WestSide Spooky Shuffle will be held Oct. 26 and begins at 4 p.m. Wristbands are cost $5 and are available at these participating restaurants: Bear Bottom Resort, Boomers Sports Bar, Branding Iron, Cannon Smoked Saloon, Chances R, Hurricane Dolly's and Vinny's. Specials and live entertainment will be available.
