  • Golf: Taylor Hayes returns to State
For the third consecutive year, Osage's Taylor Hayes advances to state play.
In the sectional tournament on Monday, Oct. 14, Hayes finished third overall, and despite a triple bogey on the ninth, she finished just five over par (77 on the day), just behind Jessica Dreesbeimdieke of Westminster Christian Academy (+1) and Logan Marie Otter of John Burroughs (+3).
Her teammate, Devin Henderson, finished 42 over par with a score of 114 on the day, a score which closely resembles that of her sectional performance of 2012 (36th, +40).
Becca Lasson of Eldon finished 30th in the Class 1, Sectional 2 tournament with a score of 111 (+37), narrowly missing the cutoff for the state tournament.
Camdenton's Brianna Knopf and Amber Theobald both fell short of advancing to the state tournament, as Knopf shot a 107 (+37) and 110 (+40), respectively, on the day to finish in 47th  and 49th place.
